BUT WHAT IS THE EUROPEAN ECOLABEL?

The Ecolabel is the official European ecological label introduced in 1992 and recognized by all countries of the European Union as well as by Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland. It indicates which products are preferable for the environment, without loss of quality.

AND WHAT DO I NEED IT FOR?

It is convenient if you want to know if the products and services you are buying are environmentally friendly. The label aims to reduce the negative impact of production and consumption on the environment, public health, climate and natural resources. Only products that meet strict environmental and performance requirements can be awarded the “little star flower” as a logo.

BUT HOW CAN I BE SURE OF THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE LABEL?

The environmental criteria are defined in such a way that only 10 to 20% of the products on the market can obtain it. Therefore, only the most environmentally friendly products can carry this label. One of its strengths is that it takes into account the entire life cycle of a product, from the collection of raw materials to the moment the product becomes waste and is discarded.
